Borrowing from the traditional Russian bath house or “banya”, Finnish saunas, Turkish Hammams and Japanese bath houses, Banya 5 presents an experience that is healthful, rejuvenating, and soothing. Housed on two levels, the symmetrical plan leads the customer through a series of spaces that are meant to help decompress from the urban world. Banya 5 combines elements from many cultures to provide a whole mind/body experience that includes a banya room to accommodate 6-8 people, full size steam room, cold pool, tepid pool, and cold shower wash, jacuzzi, mud and facial rooms, with a lounge area, men’s and women’s locker rooms and a reception and retail space at the entry. Banya 5’s goal is not only to create a truly sensory experience, but one that is both memorable and restorative.
